The Rambo Micklem Multibridle is three main pieces of equipment in one.

Also featuring Micklem's unique tongue protection system, effective for so many horses, and having the added value of use as a headcollar.

THE BRIDLE AND LUNGE CAVESSON

Horses love the Rambo® Micklem Multibridle because it is the first bridle or lunge cavesson that is designed from the shape of the skull itself, instead of just from the outward appearance of the head. Therefore this prevents the damage and discomfort that is frequently caused, both to the facial nerves and the sensitive tissues lining the cheeks inside the mouth, by tight fitting cavesson and flash nosebands and many traditional bitless bridles and lunge cavessons. So say goodbye to the huge problems caused by the projecting molar teeth of the upper jaw, say goodbye to discomfort on the poll, and say goodbye to wasting money on unused bridleware.

THE TONGE PROTECTION CLIP

Use the clips to join the bit to the side rings and you have a unique tongue protection system. So many horses fight the rein contact and try to put the tongue over the bit because of excessive tongue pressure and this solution is so simple and effective.

THE LUNGE CAVESSON

The bridle can be used as a classical lunge cavesson by simply attaching a lunge line to the ring provided on the nose piece.

THE HEEADPIECE

The headpiece is padded and shaped so that it has a large bearing surface over the poll, giving immediate relief to many horses.

THE BITLESS BRIDLE

There are three alternative bitless bridles, from mild to strong, so there will be one that suits your horse, and they all avoid the extreme damage to the molar teeth caused by standard bitless bridles.     We are delighted with the Micklem bridle. It was easy to fit and certainly for this horse has resulted in him been more relaxed in his head carriage. We prefer them for our horses who do RDA work. Whilst the additional expense for us as a charity is a challenge we find it is worth while.

    I already have a Micklem competition bridle and have been very pleased with it, hence I decided to buy a multi-bridle for a couple of reasons: I wanted a black rather than a brown bridle for my horse and also wanted the option to go bitless. I ordered a standard horse size (the same as my competition bridle) for my fine headed thoroughbred and have found that the browband is fairly tight fitting and the cheek strap has to be done up on the last (loosest) hole. Also I have been using a Dr Cooks bitless bridle previously and find it has greater control than the Micklem due to the lower noseband position. I was a little disappointed that the crossover straps are webbing rather than leather and find that the look of the bridle when used bitless is not very attractive due to the numerous straps.

    Really great multi functioning bridle, great fit for my 16.2 ID standard size, really like the fit seemed to be more comfortable than normal snaffle bridle.

    2nd Micklem Ive had, and I love it just as much as the first. I wanted the multibridle to be able to use the cavesson ring, and eventually bitless. It suits these purposes perfectly, and the leather is as high quality as my Micklem competition bridle.

    Lovely bridle, has really helped my horse perform he no longer head shakes with the micklem as it’s not resting on any pressure points! Certainly recommend it.

    Hi Samantha, looking at the British Dressage Rule Book (2021) it looks like a Micklem bridle is allowed, but we would recommend confirming this with British Dressage. I hope this helps.
