The Sprenger Novocontact Pelham Double Jointed Sensogan Bit has been designed to create a unique oval shape which widens the contact surface on the tongue while the rider keeps a steady contact. As the rider gives a rein aid the mouthpiece turns forward and the contact surface gets narrower, ensuring more precise and effective communication.
This bit improve the interaction between horse and rider for a better contact and acceptance of the bit. The double jointed design is ideal to use on horses that occasionally tend to pull against the hand, but are too sensitive to be ridden with stronger bits.
When using a Pelham the rein aid is distributed to three various parts of the horse’s head: the tongue, the poll and the lower jaw. This enables the rider to get more control over strong and powerful horses.
Sensogan:
This Sprenger bit has been engineered from Sensogan, which is a distinctive composition of copper, manganese and zinc. With a reduced copper content the oxidation process is still maintained, however the extraordinary combination with manganese is what makes the difference; it results in a smoother and more regulated process of oxidation. This has a very positive influence on the hose's satisfaction, motivation and willingness to perform.
Sensogan does not tarnish easily and is easy to care for. All Sensogan bits are marked with a black ring with an arrow on the cheeks. Make sure that the arrow is pointing forwards on the left hand side.
